One thing to keep in mind before starting this series, these books are set in her Dark World series, meaning it has connections and references to characters in other books. (Dark Kings especially) However, you don’t necessarily NEED to read the others in the series to understand this one.
What this means~ you can TOTALLY binge read these books as they’re quick and you can do it without guilt of missing parts. And THEN if you like it, there’s more in the world to explore. (just saying)

So full disclosure~ I did a full read of all the Reaper books before reading this one, so I could get the full effect. (haha) I think binge reading them made it SO MUCH MORE impactful when we got to this one. Dark Alpha’s Hunger has the most development and change out of any of the books. Whether I like that or not is yet to be determined.
Side bar: I’m totally waiting for a SPECIFIC book but with what happened in this one…. I have a feeling I may be waiting forever for that story. *dramatically stomps foot in mock pout*
I was so happy to have this book though. (Trying to do this without spoilers) To finally see this part of the story arc resolved was wonderful and everything is now set up for some EPIC EPIC stuff. I’m not sure though if the amazing smack down will occur in this series or in a different part of Dark World. Either way, I’m excited to see how this turns out.
Another Side bar: As someone who also read’s the Dark King’s books. I was ecstatic to see a cameo of a certain character I despise feature in this book. I can’t wait for the ‘comeuppance’. haha

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. People who enjoy romance and a quick, well developed story should check out these novellas. I can’t wait to read the next book but I don’t think it’s announced yet. *cries in a corner*

I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in paranormal romance or just romance. Enjoyable content and characters with good story closure at the end. (Although not FULL over arching story closure….not yet haha)
